Overview

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily shipping and distribution operations of the company. This role ensures that products are properly allocated using D365 ERP, released to proper Geographies, packaged, labeled, and shipped in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner while maintaining compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Review Distributor orders to ensure product is properly allocated and released to the correct geographies.
  • Communicate with customer service regarding shipping status and freight estimates and charges.
  • Coordinate daily shipping activities, including preparing shipping documents
  • Schedule and track shipments using various transportation methods (ground, air, sea).
  • Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments and update tracking information.
  • Inspect outgoing packages to ensure they meet company standards and shipping regulations.
  • Handle international and domestic shipping, including customs clearance and export documentation.
  • Resolve shipping errors, delays, or customer issues as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and reorder as necessary.
  • Assist in improving shipping processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or business preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems in a shipping/warehouse environment, such as Microsoft D365, SAP, or Oracle
