Overview

The Research & Development Co-Op will work side-by-side with R&D Engineers in the development of medical devices.  Everyday tasks may include functional testing using various laboratory apparatus (Instron, simulated anatomy models, etc…), design test fixtures, develop manufacturing fixtures, building prototypes, analyzing test data, and protocol and report writing.  Additional tasks include keeping a detailed laboratory notebook, learning about the design process for medical devices, and developing manufacturing processes for production.  

Responsibilities

The R&D co-op will take on a variety of tasks as described above to support R&D projects.

Qualifications

Previous experience with Solidworks, LabVIEW, Minitab and medical device development and documentation is desired, but not required.
