Manage and represent all the activities in the assigned territory (comprised of multiple accounts) to achieve sales and gross profit goals are met on a monthly and annual basis.
Directly supervises 6 to 9 employees in the Sales Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Manage and oversee assigned sales reps in specific territories. Provide information to corporate on activities in the territory including: competitive activities, product pricing, product acceptance and problem resolution.
Keeps track of account information: names, titles, sales histories, responsibilities, vendors, for all hospitals in the territory.
Manage the relationships with the territories Vascular Surgeons and Interventional Radiologists; including individual and group contacts, educational support, local and regional society support.
Be a participative member of the field team, sharing best practices, competitive information and vascular and medical news regularly with sales management and assigned representatives.
Provides monthly accounts of business in the territory including: new business opportunities by product and account, successful closed business and maintenance accounts.
Provides timely and professional clinical support and training throughout the territory to representatives by participating in vascular surgical procedures involving our products, and assisting with the proper use of our devices.
Provides timely expense reports, and manage expenses within predetermined levels.
Attend trade shows.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or sales training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience selling medical devices (a plus).
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency with Internet, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
