  • Overview

    LeMaitre Vascular is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team.  The qualified candidate will have a technical mindset and a hands on approach towards solving their tasks.  Medical devices are made from a variety of materials including plastics, metals, adhesives and biologic materials.  The successful candidate will possess some working knowledge in some or all of these areas so that they are well positioned to make an impact in their role. 


    • Primary responsibility will be to drive CAPA project tasks to completion
    • Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality activities (Complaints, CAPAs, NCMRs).
    • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
    • Plans and/or conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned product or component.
    • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
    • Establishes programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
    • Performs quality engineering reviews and improvements of documentation for compliance with stated regulations, requirements, including company and vendor quality manuals and standard operating procedures.
    • Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
    • Identifies, analyzes and implements improvements to both manufacturing and design processes and products.
    • Performs quality engineering reviews of supplier quality information in order to qualify both the vendor, as well as vendor supplied product and/or services.
    • Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
    • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
    • Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.



    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent field from an accredited four year college or university
    • 2-6 years of equivalent experience in a related field, preferably in Medical Device
